Consuelo Dungca, RN, EdD, Senior Assistant Vice President of Clinical Affairs, NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation has been named as a recipient of this year’s “Quality Award.” The Quality Awards, given annually by IPRO, New York State’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization, recognize health care providers demonstrating a commitment to improving health care services in the state.
“Ms. Dungca is being recognized for her exemplary work in collaborating with IPRO to facilitate organization-wide commitment to quality improvement and quality management in New York State hospitals,” says Harry M. Feder, Senior Vice President, IPRO. Mr. Feder added, “We thank Dr. Dungca for her commitment to the health of New Yorkers.”
In conferring the award at IPRO’s 23nd Annual Membership Meeting on June 5, Mr. Feder noted that “for more than ten years Dr. Dungca has been an active member of IPRO’s Provider Relations Committee. She best represents how provider organizations and IPRO can work together to achieve the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) shared goal of transformational change, resulting in improved care.”
