Monroe Community College – Department of Nursing
The Nursing Program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. The professional nursing program, including clinical practice, can be completed in two academic years of full-time study. A graduate of the program who is at least 18 years of age is eligible for admission to the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN).
The clinical experience required in the curriculum is provided through cooperation of area hospitals, long term care facilities and other health care agencies. All health care providers must abide by Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Blood Borne Pathogen regulations.
