Le Moyne College - Coyne Science Center

This 65-credit upper-division bachelor’s degree nursing education program is open to registered nurses interested in pursuing a higher level of education for professional nursing practice. Graduates of associate degree or diploma programs in nursing are eligible upon admission to transfer in 60 credits of pre-requisite course work to earn a BS degree in nursing on a full-time or part-time basis. The pre-admission requirements have been determined to allow most prospective students a seamless transition to the upper-division program.

Nursing education at Le Moyne is an ideal fit with our mission of preparing students for leadership and service to society. As one of the 28 Jesuit institutions, Le Moyne maintains a strong focus on the liberal arts and sciences while embodying the Jesuit tradition of academic excellence and personalized instruction. The nursing curriculum reflects the philosophy of educating the whole person and has been designed to foster professional as well as personal growth.

The new upper-division Bachelor’s Degree Program in Nursing opened its doors to full-time and part-time students in fall 2004. This RN to BS program offers associate degree and diploma-prepared registered nurses the opportunity to further their education for professional nursing practice. Le Moyne is a transfer-friendly institution; applicants are accepted in both the fall and spring semesters and students are welcome to begin taking courses prior to matriculation.

Our future promises to be exciting as other program options are being planned to meet the interests of prospective students and the needs of the community for nursing services.
