Hunter-Bellevue School of Nursing

The Hunter – Bellevue School of Nursing offers undergraduate generic and registered nurse pathway programs and nine graduate programs.

The undergraduate programs combine arts and sciences with professional education to award a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Students are admitted as juniors after completing lower division courses including Hunter College distribution requirements. The graduate program provides an advanced body of nursing knowledge that builds on baccalaureate education in nursing and leads to a Master of Science degree.

The more than 500 students are extremely diverse, representing many ethnic groups and coming from more than thirty countries, much like the population of New York. All but three of the school’s faculty are doctorally prepared and several have national reputations as scholars.

Graduates of Hunter – Bellevue serve throughout the world and are making major contributions to health care. They hold leadership positions in hospitals, community agencies, health care organizations, and schools of nursing. They serve as editors, consultants and community and political activists.
