Adirondack Community College — Health Sciences Division
The Nursing A.A.S. program provides a sound foundation in both the theorectical principles of nurse caring and the clinical foundations of nursing practice. Students have varied opportunities in many different health care environments during their clinical practice in the program and, therefore, graduates of the program are prepared to begin employment in a variety of health care settings as entry level professional nurses.
The program is approved by the New York State Board of Education and is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission. Successful completion of the program enables the graduate to take the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nursing (NCLEX-RN).
